Cats of the Month

Heather & Ginger

Coming SoonTwo are better than one! That's OUR motto because we are sisters. We were rescued after living on the streets - and we just don't know what we'd do without each other! They call us tortoise shells. Now, we thought that was something with a big shell that lumbered around and poked its head and legs in and out of its shell. Guess not - seems that our basic black coloring with smatterings of orange is what these folks are referring to. Anyway, we ARE very pretty!
I'm Heather, the one on the left in the photo. Expect me on your lap whenever I see it vacant. My sister, Ginger, is a little bit shy, but she'll come around once we have a forever home!

More Adoptable Cats!

Kittens! Kittens! Kittens!

During the summer and fall we have kittens available for adoption. If you are looking for something in particular (like a black female kitten) you might want to call our office first. Otherwise, come in and see the wonderful kittens waiting for their forever homes! All of our kittens were born of feral (wild, unsocialized) mothers. They have been lovingly cared for in volunteer foster homes where they are socialized and prepared for adoption.

Cailey

Cailey Cailey is a beauty!! She was rescued from the streets with her siblings after being abandoned. While initially shy, after she gets to know you she loves attention, being petted and brushed, and is a very gentle cat. She needs a quiet place where she can call home and to be loved by someone who will give her a chance. She is fine with other pets, including cat-friendly dogs, but would do well as an only cat.

Age 8-10 years
Good with other cats
Unknown with dogs

After my owner died some new people moved into my house. The next thing I knew I was out on the street living with the feral cats that my Mom used to feed. Luckily, the neighbor next door put up some warm shelter for us and started feeding us. Since she knew I used to be an indoor cat she asked RMACA if they would find me a home. So, here I am, inside and warm again and looking for someone who can appreciate a beautiful, mature lady.

sort of a loner

My owner passed away and left me living in the house with two other cats. They got adopted and now I think it’s my turn. Let me tell you what I’m looking for in my new home. I want a nice soft bed (or two) to lie on, tasty wet food morning and evening, head, chin, and back rubs daily, and ONLY when I want them. Well, if you think you fit my requirements, come and see me and take me to your castle!

I was pregnant and living in a trailer park. I had my kittens and a nice woman scooped them up, and me, too! I went to live with the kittens for awhile in a home. Now I’m here at the Rocky Mountain Alley Cat Alliance office waiting to be adopted. I’m a little shy but have a lot of love to give. I LOVE to be brushed.

GREAT with other cats
Not sure about dogs

I was living in a feral cat colony when my caretaker noticed that I had a bad cold. She called RMACA and someone came and picked me up and started giving me some awful tasting medicine. I'm better now, and I really like getting attention! I feel more secure when I can burrow under a blanket, but LOVE to sit in your lap and be combed.

no dogs or kids please!

I’m a shy guy and would be a great companion for another cat as I like to snuggle up to all the cats here at RMACA. I need a quiet, patient home who can appreciate my sleek black coat and gentle nature.

I recently lost my happy home due to unforeseen circumstances. I had to have a hair cut – they call it a “lion cut” because I was all matted. Also, I had to have my last 3 teeth pulled because they were rotten and hurt. I'm a mature boy with a lot of love to give and would love to have you come and visit me!

I recently lost my home – I really don't know why! I like to be held and combed but am still a little nervous with new people. I need a home with someone who is willing to be patient and give me lots of time to adjust to new surroundings.
